A note on memory accuracy

If you are on a multiplayer server, remote LAN world, or Realm, some information in the item list or when searching may be rarely incorrect.

Due to the nature of how Minecraft works, items in a chest are only sent to the client when it's GUI is open. This means that when you don't have the chest open, other factors may change the real contents - it might get destroyed, or hoppers or other players may also move items.

Chest Tracker tries to keep the data sane (by removing stale memories older than a given time period), as well as checking block validity when in range. However, this isn't foolproof! You can tune these settings under the 'Integrity' category of your memory bank.

From your inventory

Press the search key - default [Y] to look for items. If any are found, your inventory will close and highlights will show up where the items are.

From the Chest Tracker GUI

Click an item in the GUI's item list to search for it.

From JEI, REI or EMI

Press the search key when hovering over an item, either in a recipe screen or the side lists. This has different behavior depending on where you are hovering; this is listed more in detail at Where Is It's page.
